Congratulations to Jerry Kincel for being recognized as "Athlete of the Week" by The Scranton Times-Tribune  http://thetimes-tribune.com/sports/athlete-of-the-week-jerry-kincel-riverside-boys-basketball-1.1261278 Congratulations to Jerry Kincel, who became the boys basketball all-time leading scorer surpassing Michael Morgan Jr.'s record of 1485 points.  Spring Sport’s Physicals will be held on Tuesday, February 7th with a snow date of Tuesday, February 14th, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Nurse’s Suite.  Physical forms must be completed and signed by a parent BEFORE a physical will be given.  The form is available online on the Riverside Sports page, the Nurse’s webpage, or the Jr/Sr High School Main website. Due to our boy's varsity basketball game with Old Forge being played at Marywood University on January 28th in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer game, our Freshman and JV teams will be playing a doubleheader at Old Forge High School on Monday, January 23 starting at 6:00 p.m.  This will be a Coaches vs. Cancer game and we are asking all students to wear their CVC t-shirts.  General admission will be $2.00 Congratulations to Tyler Armillay  who was runner-up for the top offensive lineman in the annual Hookey Reap awards recently presented by the American Legion to the top offensive and defensive lineman in Lackawanna County. B.I.G.’s Rich Rossi Invited to 2012 Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game on Jan. 16th  Bombastic Industries Group (“B.I.G.”) is pleased to announce that Riverside Junior-Senior High School graduate and NFL hopeful Rich Rossi has received an invitation to play in the 2012 Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game on Jan. 16, 2012.  The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Arizona, FOX Sports Southwest PLUS, FOX Sports Houston PLUS, FOX College Sports and SportSouth.  Click here for more information.  Good luck Rich! Tyler Armillay     -- Offense/Defense Nick Dranchak    -- Offense Mark Donaghey  -- Defense Michael Loftus    -- Offense David Sweetman -- Offense/Defense  (Also select All-Regional) The 2011-2012 Riverside Football Team   Congratulations to Riverside's Nico Munley who captured low sophomore in the 48th Annual Irving Jackman Memorial Golf Tournament  held at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course with a round of 74.  Nico finished tied for 6th place overall helping the Vikes finish tied for 5th in the team competition.
