    A little about myself...
I am a 2006 graduate of Riverside, GO VIKES!, and a graduate of Marywood University. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology. I spent a year working closely with the genetics of microscopic worms, called nematodes, specifically studying their fat metabolism genes. I also spent a year as a microbiologist at the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation where I helped analyze human tissues prior to surgical use. My professional interests include cellular biology, microbiology, and biochemistry. When I'm not being a nerd (which I believe is a compliment!), I enjoy all sports, especially Penn State football, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
I currently teach AP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry (dual enrollment), and Chemistry, in addition to being the Science Department Chairperson. You can find information about all of my classes, homework, upcoming assignments/tests, and class announcements at the following link to my Google Sites webpage Miss Plisko's Science Webpage. The google page, my google classroom, and MMS will be updated weekly. I can be reached at
