Vikings Geometry Page!!
NOTE TO PARENTS:
The Geometry class is run in a large part using a FLIPPED CLASSROOM. This means, your son/daughter will be assigned videos to be watched for homework (to introduce a new topic) and we will expand on those ideas in class the following day(s). What you would know as HOMEWORK (worksheets that each student is expected to complete on their own to reinforce the concepts taught in class) will be completed in the classroom, so that students that have questions may ask me for help, rather than asking you (most of you haven't had Geometry for quite some time!)
Since class time will be provided for students to complete these assignments, I expect support from home that they will at least attempt to solve the problems while they are here in the class (many students wish to "wait until I get home to do it").
Each student's first assignment is to (1) read, (2) sign by completing the STUDENT GOOGLE FORM, and (3) get a parent's signature by having them complete the PARENT GOOGLE FORM on my CLASS POLICY, PROCEDURE, & EXPECTATION document that is posted in our Google Classroom, so that everyone has knowledge of the class rules and policies.
Geometry Class Info
Students use Google Classroom on a daily basis to receive (and submit, if necessary) assignments. Students should JOIN their Google Classroom by using the code provided in class. Any parent wishing to gain access to their son/ daughter's Google classroom can be invited via email, where a link will be provided.
Almost any question regarding class materials can be answered by having your son or daughter open their Google classroom account and read the front page (known as the stream) or Classwork tab. Should anyone need to meet virtually, a link will be sent through Google Classroom.
Parents or students, feel free to email me with any questions (office hours are 7 am - 3 pm) at wpabst@riversidesd.com I will generally respond within 24 hours, so if you do not hear back from me, drop me another email. (I have had emails go into the junk folder and get missed.)
If you feel that you have an idea for my page or just need to get in touch with me, feel free to contact me! Simply click on the envelope at the top right corner of this page or you can use the info below! Come back soon.
Mr. Pabst
P.S. Here are some questions I have:
Why do people pay to go up to the top of tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
Do Chinese people get English sayings tattooed on their bodies?
Why do they call the small candy bars the "fun sizes"? Isn't it more fun to eat a big candy bar?
Since there is a rule that states "i" before "e" except after "c", isn't "science" spelled wrong?
