    SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT: 


     

    All 9th grade students who were in my 5/6th period language arts class are to choose a book from attached “9th grade reading list.”  You will read that one book and complete the vocabulary word assignment and the journal assignment listed at the very bottom of this page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me throughout the summer and I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.  This assignment is GRADED.

     Any students who were on my caseload for the 2016-2017 school year, but had LANGUAGE ARTS WITH MRS. MCDERMOTT, will access Mr. Trescavage’s 10th grade summer reading list.  Choose a book from his college prep list and complete the assignment found on his page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me throughout the summer and I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.  This assignment is GRADED.  If you are attending Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School in the fall of 2017, choose a book and assignment found on Mr. Cavanaugh's page.

    Available Copies: Make sure we have available copies prior to your visit by checking the High School Library's Card Catalog.

    Public Library Copies: Click here to see what copies are available at Lackawanna County Libraries. If a copy is not available at the public Library closest to you, they can get one from another Library for you. Ask them to submit an 'InterLibrary Loan'.
